Overview


The Graduate Certificate in District Leadership program is a 15-hour non-degree, licensure program in partial fulfillment for the requirements for a Kansas District Leadership License.  All of the courses may be applied to the Educational Specialist Degree (EdS) in Advanced Studies in Leadership emphasis in General school Administration.  Financial Aid is available for the fall and spring semesters only.

    *Cost per credit hour and total tuition is based on 2018-2019 academic year tuition rates and assuming all coursework is completed online in the 2018-2019 academic year. Cost per credit hour and total tuition will vary if studies span over one or more academic year.

Admission Requirements:

  • The Candidate must hold a Bachelor and Master degree.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 in Masters degree program
  • Hold a valid Building Administrator License
  1. Apply for the Graduate Certificate in District Leadership through the Office of Graduate Studies.
  2. Submit an Official Transcript
  3. The student must petition for completion of the Certificate program during the last semester of coursework. 

Students may enter the program in the Fall Semester Only.

Most graduates of this program serve as a School District Superintendent or an Assistant School District Superintendent.  Other graduates lead Educational Organizations both for profit and not for profit.
