Applications are being accepted now to the University of Kansas Advanced Standing MSW program on the Pittsburg State University campus.

Pitt State social work alumni and those soon to graduate, as well as BSWs from other accredited programs, may be eligible for KU’s Advanced Standing Program. To serve Pittsburg and the surrounding areas, this program will be offered on the Pitt State campus every other Saturday with the alternate Saturdays delivered in a distance-learning format.

This program will have a clinical focus, preparing social workers for clinical social work practice. Master’s level social workers practice in a variety of settings including, but not limited to, mental health centers, hospitals, schools, hospice, addiction treatment, and Veterans Affairs.
