Overview

Undergraduate Emphasis

Polymer chemistry is the branch of chemistry that studies the synthesis, characterization, and processing of macromolecules. The Polymer Division of the American Chemical Society projects that 50 percent of chemists will work with polymers during some time of their career.

To prepare students for careers in polymer chemistry, the Chemistry Department at Pittsburg State University offers a four-year Chemistry Degree with a Polymer Chemistry Emphasis.
